Publishing & Content Disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to the Dharohar Publishing LLP website, Knowledge Centre, catalogues, promotional material, and publications issued under the Dharohar imprint.
Owner: Dharohar Publishing LLP (LLPIN ADB-0139). This document complements, and does not replace, Dharohar's Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, book-specific notices, publishing agreements, or legal review where required.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Publishing & Content Disclaimer applies to the Dharohar Publishing LLP website, Knowledge Centre, catalogues, promotional material, and publications issued under the Dharohar imprint, except where a book or other work contains a more specific disclaimer.
Dharohar publishes and supports literary, educational, scholarly, historical, cultural, creative, leadership, technology, social, and other knowledge-oriented works. Such works may address subjects on which readers, communities, scholars, traditions, or institutions hold different interpretations or deeply held views.
2. Independent Views and Editorial Context
Views, interpretations, arguments, recollections, opinions, hypotheses, and conclusions expressed in an individual work are primarily those of its author or contributor and do not necessarily represent the institutional views of Dharohar Publishing LLP.
Publication by Dharohar does not mean that Dharohar endorses every statement, interpretation, belief, historical conclusion, personal recollection, or opinion contained in a work. Editorial review is intended to improve quality, integrity, readability, and responsible publication; it does not convert an author's views into the publisher's institutional position.
3. Religion, Culture, Community and Sensitive Subjects
Dharohar recognises that works concerning religion, spirituality, caste, community, language, region, history, social practices, cultural traditions, politics, identity, or other sensitive subjects may contain competing accounts, interpretations, criticism, or discussion of difficult events.
Such material is intended, where applicable, for literary, historical, scholarly, educational, critical, documentary, or contextual engagement. Dharohar does not intend through publication to promote hatred, hostility, discrimination, or violence against any person or group, or to deliberately or maliciously insult religious beliefs or wound religious feelings.
A reader's disagreement with, discomfort about, or offence at an author's interpretation does not by itself establish Dharohar's endorsement of that interpretation. At the same time, neither this disclaimer nor an author's stated intention authorises material that is unlawful under applicable law.
4. Historical, Civilisational and Knowledge-Tradition Works
Historical and civilisational subjects often involve incomplete records, translation choices, differing chronologies, competing schools of interpretation, oral traditions, later commentaries, and evolving scholarship. Dharohar seeks to distinguish, where reasonably possible, established evidence, attributed tradition, interpretation, and authorial analysis.
References to ancient texts, traditions, historical persons, scientific ideas, cultural practices, or civilisational knowledge should be understood in the context in which the relevant work presents them. Publication should not be taken as a representation that every historical or interpretive question is settled.
5. Fiction, Memoir and Narrative Works
Fictional works may use invented characters, dialogue, events, institutions, or composite situations. Any resemblance to actual persons or events may be coincidental unless the work expressly states otherwise.
Memoirs and autobiographical or family narratives may reflect the author's memory, perspective, reconstruction, and understanding of events. Dialogue may be reconstructed and identifying details may be changed where appropriate. A book-specific notice should be used where these considerations are material to the work.
6. Research, Facts, Sources and Evolving Knowledge
Dharohar encourages reasonable research integrity, attribution, source review, and correction. Nevertheless, facts, statistics, translations, interpretations, scientific understanding, technology, laws, public records, and external information may change or may be disputed.
Authors remain responsible for the representations, research, citations, permissions, and source material supplied by them, subject to the applicable publishing agreement and Dharohar's own editorial responsibilities. Readers undertaking consequential decisions should verify current primary or authoritative sources where appropriate.
7. Professional and Specialist Information
Unless a publication expressly states otherwise and is appropriately qualified for that purpose, content concerning law, medicine, health, finance, investment, psychology, astrology, business, technology, education, or other specialist subjects is published for informational, literary, educational, cultural, scholarly, or reflective purposes.
It is not a substitute for individual professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, legal representation, financial advice, or other regulated professional services. Readers should obtain appropriately qualified advice where their circumstances require it.
8. Intellectual Property, Quotations and Third-Party Material
Authors and contributors are expected to submit original work or material they are lawfully entitled to use and to identify third-party material requiring permission. Copyright, trademarks, photographs, illustrations, translations, archival material, quotations, and other third-party content remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
Where Dharohar becomes aware of a credible intellectual-property concern, it may seek supporting permissions, attribution corrections, amendments, suspension of distribution, or other appropriate action.
9. Author Responsibility and Publisher Review
Authors are expected to act honestly and responsibly in relation to originality, factual representations, permissions, citations, allegations concerning identifiable persons or organisations, and material that may create legal or ethical risk.
Dharohar retains editorial discretion to request clarification, documentary support, source verification, permissions, sensitivity review, specialist review, legal review, revision, qualification, or removal of material before or after publication when reasonably warranted.
For third-party authors, these responsibilities may also be addressed through the applicable publishing agreement, author declaration, warranties, indemnities, or other contractual provisions.
10. No Disclaimer of Unlawful Conduct
Nothing in this Disclaimer should be interpreted as authorising, excusing, validating, or immunising content or conduct that is unlawful. A disclaimer cannot by itself remove legal responsibility that applicable law places on an author, publisher, contributor, platform, or other person.
Dharohar's publication decisions remain subject to applicable law and to its commitment to responsible editorial judgement.
11. Complaints, Corrections and Good-Faith Review
Dharohar welcomes specific, good-faith communications concerning alleged factual errors, misattribution, copyright or permission issues, privacy concerns, or material alleged to be unlawful.
A complaint should identify the work or webpage, the specific passage or material concerned, the nature of the concern, and any supporting information reasonably available. Dharohar may review the matter with the author, editors, advisers, rights holders, platforms, or other relevant persons as appropriate.
Where reasonably warranted, Dharohar may issue a clarification or correction, amend digital material, modify future editions, suspend availability, seek further review, or take other proportionate action. Receipt of a complaint does not by itself constitute an admission of error, wrongdoing, or liability.
12. External Platforms and Third-Party Services
Dharohar publications and content may be distributed, displayed, sold, reviewed, or discussed through independent marketplaces, booksellers, distributors, libraries, social networks, search engines, or other third-party services. Dharohar does not control independent third-party content, reviews, recommendations, availability, pricing, policies, or user conduct.
13. Book-Specific Disclaimers
This website-level Disclaimer is a general publishing baseline. Individual books may require a tailored disclaimer or editorial note depending on genre and subject matter, including memoir, fiction, children's literature, history, religion, civilisational studies, Jyotisha, health-related discussion, business, leadership, artificial intelligence, or works containing sensitive factual allegations.
Where a book-specific disclaimer is provided, it should be read together with this general statement and the publication's copyright and imprint information.
14. Legal and Editorial Review Triggers
Dharohar may apply enhanced review where a work materially involves allegations concerning identifiable living persons or organisations; religion or inter-community conflict; potentially defamatory statements; obscenity or sexual content presenting legal concerns; confidential or private information; substantial third-party copyrighted material; contested factual claims carrying significant foreseeable harm; or other content presenting material legal or ethical risk.
Enhanced review does not guarantee that a work is free from all risk and does not replace qualified legal advice where legal review is appropriate.
15. Limitation of General Website Reliance
General statements on Dharohar's website about books, authors, history, culture, research, publishing, or other subjects are provided for informational purposes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dharohar does not accept responsibility for decisions made solely in reliance on general website material without appropriate independent verification where the circumstances reasonably require it.
Nothing in this provision excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
16. Applicable Framework and Continuing Review
Dharohar Publishing LLP operates in India and intends to conduct its publishing activities in accordance with applicable Indian law. Because publishing, intellectual-property, privacy, digital, and content-related requirements can evolve, this Disclaimer may be reviewed and updated when there is a material change in law, publishing activity, technology, or risk profile.
